The embedded calculator

Your website, at eleven at night, doing the first ten minutes of the sales call.

A person thinking about solar does the thinking after the kids are in bed. This sits on your own site and gives them an honest figure in three questions — and on the real thing, takes their name and number while they are still looking at it.

The one beside this paragraph is live. Try it — and everything you skip, it assumes out loud rather than quietly.

A PDF up to 10 MB, or a clear photo up to 4 MB. We read the rate and the usage off it so you do not have to look them up — and the file is deleted the moment the numbers are out.

or just type the two numbers below — the bill amount and the unit rate are all we need.

Seven characters, off any bill. It is how we find the right roof.

The side that gets the sun. If you are not sure, stand at the front door and think about where the sun is at lunchtime.

The one number that decides the payback. It is on your annual statement, or add up a year of bills — or upload a bill above and we will read it for you. Do not know it? Give the monthly bill below instead.

In euro — only needed if you left the yearly units blank. Leave both blank and we assume a typical family home.

It is on the bill, near the units. The day rate, if you have two. Blank means we assume 35c.

In cents. It sharpens the usage sums — and with a battery it is where the night-charging saving comes from.

A car is the one load you can point at the surplus — it changes how much of what the roof makes gets used instead of sold.

It stores what the roof would have sold and — on a night tariff — charges cheap overnight for the day. Typical prices installed alongside the panels; no SEAI grant covers a battery. The figure shows the trade either way.

Live, not a picture — the numbers are the ones your visitors would see, and the last step is real too: what you type lands in the enquiry inbox of our demo company, where a person doing a demonstration will see it. Use it to watch the whole journey, or stop at the figure.

After the figure

The enquiry is the point.

On your site, a last panel asks the one question that matters — want this checked properly? — and what they type does not go to an inbox nobody reads.

It lands in your enquiries

Name, number, Eircode and the figure they were looking at, in the same list as the phone calls — not an email that arrives beside the invoices and sinks.

With the right person on it

The Eircode fills in the county, and the enquiry goes straight to whoever covers it.

Getting it

One line on your website.

Every Dockit account has its own copy of this calculator with its own key. Settings gives you one line to paste into your site, and the enquiries start arriving in the same place as everything else.
